Community Scientist Program

Dear Texas Tech Health El Paso community,

The Office of Research is pleased to announce a new resource for our campus research community.

The Community Scientist Program, coordinated by UTHealth Houston and M.D. Anderson, is now offering feedback sessions for El Paso-area researchers. The free program connects researchers with trained community members who can provide valuable feedback on research design, implementation, and recruitment and retention.

As community engagement increasingly becomes a requirement among funding agencies like the NIH and FDA, researchers should consider feedback sessions as a way to improve scores on proposals and overall research outcomes.

If you’re planning or conducting community-engaged research, we encourage you to consider requesting a community scientist feedback session.

See the flyer below for more information. Download the flyer (PDF).

Sincerely,

Texas Tech Health El Paso
