El Paso Physician Recognized as Doctor of the Day in Texas Senate

A respected leader in medicine and medical education, Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso Family Physician and the Foster School of Medicine Assistant Professor Rebecca Campos, M.D., FAAFP, FAIHM, ABIHM, was recently honored at the Texas Capitol as the Texas Senate’s Doctor of the Day.

“For the third time, I had the honor of serving as Physician of the Day at the Texas Capitol during the legislative session, providing care in the on-site clinic and representing our medical community. This year, I was proud to be joined by first-year medical student Christopher Garza, offering him a unique glimpse into how health care and policy intersect,” Dr. Campos said.

The Doctor of the Day program recognizes outstanding physicians from across the state who volunteer their time and expertise to support the health and well-being of those visiting the Texas Capitol.
