Sydnye Fields, a 6-foot-3-inch former NCAA women’s volleyball player, is easy to pick out in a crowd. The fourth-year Hunt School of Dental Medicine student has been selected for a prestigious dental anesthesiology residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago.

Alzheimer’s Research Grant
Texas Tech Health El Paso researcher Subodh Kumar, Ph.D., M.S., has been awarded a $55,000 grant for his study on an Alzheimer’s disease biomarker within the Hispanic population.
