Cancer Survivors Month

HIPEC Cancer Treatment
University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC), in collaboration with Texas Tech Health El Paso, is expanding access to Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), an advanced, highly targeted treatment option for patients with difficult-to-treat cancers.
Treatment Within Reach
As two towering yellow cranes at the university worked in tandem to raise the Fox Cancer Center from the desert floor, U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar presented Texas Tech Health El Paso with a symbolic $1.031 million federal check on Tuesday, representing the funding she secured to purchase linear accelerators, known as a LINACs, for the Fox Cancer Center.

Lighting Hope Together
Texas Tech Health El Paso’s third annual Lighting Campus for Hope, presented by Hunt Companies, illuminated the campus with holiday magic on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. Families, friends and cancer warriors from across our Borderplex, with an estimated 1,000 in attendance, celebrated hope and unity in the fight against cancer.

CASE awarded the Office of Institutional Advancement two 2024 Best of District IV Awards for Special Events: In-Person (Single-Day), and Videos: Fundraising and Stewardship (Long) for their exceptional work in fall 2023 celebrating the transformational generosity of the Fox family.
